Can someone please confirm if CNH have just changed their supplier of crop packaging products? If so who is the new supplier?

Field Service & Support - You cannot put a value on it, It's priceless. I would like to thank Graham Robson (UAT) & Yuval Lieber (Tama) for coming halfway round the world to Australia (at 72 hours) to assist some Australian TamaNet Edge to Edge users achieve optimum performance from the Tama Edge to Edge product. A heavy schedule of 5 days in the field covering two states left many contractors achieving the perfect bale. The UK & European crop packaging markets are extremely fortunate to have Tama & UAT less than a few hours away.

I have heard that there is a new system for netwrapping round bales coming soon, the system spreads the netwrap 'over the edge' of the sdie of the bale to give more protection. Where do I get details from?

Baler & Wrapper all in one. Will it catch on?
The system to which I am refering is the type which has the wrapping of the bale carried out inside the baler chamber. Now as far as I can see this has one major flaw this being that while you are wrapping you are stood still not able to pick up any more grass until the wrapping cycle is over and the bale ejected. Surly buying a combi machine would be a much better investment due to the fact that you are able to form a new bale while the last one is being wrapped on a separate table. Now if it comes down to cost Im sure that being a new development this system is not going to be cheap where as the combi or inline systems are A: tryed and tested B:quicker at baling and wrapping the same area and C ar'nt going to be that much more expensive if at all. It seems to me that this is a system that will come and go very quickly.

BSE, an opportunity for grass?

When storing straw bales outside, it is best to try and align them in a north/south direction, rather than east/west. This allows the sun (when it eventually shines !) to fall on both sides of the bale and help to dry the bales.

I think I am being short shipped re netwrap roll length, I only got 250 bales from a '3000m' length roll on 4 ft bales fixed chamber baler with 2 turns.

Does the number of film layers on a bale have any effect on silage quality?

Why does the netwrap sometimes not grip the bale correctly, and falls off the bale when they are ejected from the baler?

Do you realise that as it takes a half turn of the bale to bring the film width to its fullest on the bale, this half turn should not be included in the calculation of how many turns to give the bale.
